• Coated recycled board: white-lined with a recycled core, sensible for bulk cake pop boxes where the interior is not on show. Recycled-fibre options may be available depending on supplier.

• Rigid greyboard, 1.5mm to 2mm, paper-wrapped: firm and non-folding, used for two-piece gift boxes with deep trays. It ships assembled, so freight and storage cost more.

• E-flute corrugated: adds stiffness for large counter displays and for mailers that hold a carton inside a shipper. Print reads best on a white-top liner.

Direct contact needs its own answer. A finished cake pop usually touches the insert rather than the outer panel, and many bakeries add a glassine sheet, parchment layer or fitted paper liner between the product and the board. Direct and indirect contact may need different substrates or coatings, so we confirm requirements during quoting and specify food-contact-appropriate materials where the product sits against the packaging. A coating may help with light surface protection depending on the coating, liner and contact duration, but it is not a substitute for a liner when the shell is soft.

Printing and Finishing Options

Finishing decides how the box feels and how well it survives a busy counter. Each option below is priced on its own, so the combination is yours to build.

• Gloss lamination: a clear film that deepens color and wipes clean, useful where boxes are handled all day.

• Aqueous coating: a thin, economical protective layer that may help with light surface protection depending on coating, liner and contact duration.

• Die-cut windows and stick holes: custom shapes cut into a panel, with or without film behind them.

Film behind a window is optional on every shape. Leaving it open lowers cost and vents the pack; adding it keeps dust off in a shop with an open door.

Cake Pop Box Sizes and Common Planning Formats

Sizing starts at the stick. Lollipop-style sticks for these treats commonly run four to six inches, and finished spheres usually measure between one and a quarter and two inches across once dipped and decorated. Sphere diameter sets hole spacing and cavity width; stick length sets box height.
