A lollipop is a small product with an awkward shape: a round or flat head on a long stick. Loose in a bag, the sticks tangle and the wrappers scuff. Custom Printed Lollipop Boxes with Logo

Printing is where a plain white carton becomes a branded product. We print your logo, flavor names, ingredient panel and any barcode or batch field directly onto the board, so there is no label step later.

Full-color CMYK is the default for photographic flavor art and gradients. Spot color matching is available when a brand color has to be consistent across lollipop boxes, custom candy boxes and other packaging in the same line.

Interior printing is a popular add-on for gift formats. A pattern or message inside the lid costs little extra on most constructions and makes the unboxing feel deliberate. Ask for a dieline with both sides marked if you want to design for it.

Artwork is proofed as a flat dieline and, on request, as a 3D render. Physical samples on your chosen board can be arranged before a production run so you can check color, fit and stick alignment in hand.

Materials for Lollipop Packaging Boxes

Lollipops are light, so board choice is driven by presentation and structure rather than load. These are the options we quote, with the trade-offs a buyer should weigh.

• SBS paperboard, 14pt to 18pt: bright white, smooth surface, best print fidelity. The standard for retail cartons, window boxes and display units. Slightly higher cost than kraft.

• Kraft paperboard, 16pt to 20pt: natural brown fiber with a handmade look. Colors print darker and less saturated, so it suits one-color and two-color logos. See kraft board options for surface variants.

• Coated recycled board: a white-lined stock with a recycled core. Good for counter displays and bulk lollipop packaging where the interior is not seen. Recycled-fiber options may be available depending on supplier.

• Rigid chipboard, 1.5mm to 2mm, wrapped: firm, heavy, non-folding. Used for gift boxes with inserts. Ships assembled, so freight and storage cost more.

• E-flute corrugated: adds stiffness for large counter displays and shipper-display hybrids. Print is best on a white-top liner.

FSC-certified options may be available depending on supplier documentation. If sustainability claims matter to your customers, tell us during quoting so we can source paperwork with the board.

On direct contact: wrapped lollipops rest against the box only through their wrapper, so standard boards apply. For unwrapped candy, a food-contact-appropriate liner, glassine layer or coated interior may be needed. Direct and indirect contact may need different substrates or coatings, and we confirm requirements during quoting.

Printing and Finishing Options

Finishing controls how the box feels in the hand and how it survives handling at a register. Each option below is quoted individually so you can build the combination that fits your budget.

• Gloss lamination: a clear film that deepens color and wipes clean. Good for counter displays that get touched often.

• Matte lamination: a soft, low-glare surface that reads as calm and upscale. Shows fingerprints less than gloss on dark colors.

• Soft-touch coating: a velvety feel for gift boxes. Scuffs more easily, so pair it with a rigid structure.

• Foil stamping: metallic gold, silver, rose, or holographic foil pressed onto logos and borders. Our foil stamping details page shows the color set.

• Embossing and debossing: raised or recessed logos that add texture without ink. Works best on 16pt and heavier board.

• Spot UV: a glossy clear layer over selected artwork on a matte base, often used to make a logo or a lollipop illustration pop.

• Aqueous coating: a thin, low-cost protective layer that may help with light surface protection depending on coating, liner and contact duration.

• Die-cut windows and stick holes: custom shapes cut into the panel, with or without clear film behind them.

Window film is optional on any window shape. Leaving it open lowers cost and lets customers smell the candy; adding it keeps dust off in a busy shop.

Lollipop Box Sizes and Common Planning Formats

Lollipop box sizes start from the stick. A standard paper stick runs about 4 inches, small round heads sit on 3-inch sticks, and large swirl or flat lollipops often use 6-inch to 8-inch sticks. Head diameter sets the hole spacing on a display and the cavity size on a tray.

If your heads are unusually thick, or you pack sticks flat rather than upright, tell us. A flat-pack layout changes the panel dimensions completely and is often a better fit for mailing.

Once the structure is agreed, you receive a dieline to place artwork on. We check the file, return a digital proof, and move to production after you approve it.
